Stress is a feeling that most of us have experienced at some point or another. The important thing, however, is to know how to help manage your stress, and when to know to take a step back.
Stress can impact you in many different ways. Physically, stress can cause headaches, fatigue, problems with sleep, and can affect your appetite. Mentally, stress can have an impact on your memory, increase anxiety, lead to overwhelming outbursts of anger or sadness, and can cause a lack of focus or motivation.
Managing your stress can look different for everyone. But, generally speaking, here are a few ways you can help reduce the impact of stress on your day-to-day life:
Regular physical activity (30 minutes a day, 5 days per week)
Writing in a journal
Track you sleep to make sure you are sleeping enough hours each night
Maintain a balanced and nutritious diet
Set aside time for hobbies
Try meditation or yoga
